Join us at Moreland Park on Sunday, September 21st from noon to sundown as we welcome Autumn and all the holiday season that is to follow.
We’re hoping to have community led events, foods, and activities which are all currently in the process of being planned.
We are currently planning the event so please feel free to contact us if you have any questions, concerns, or comments you would like to share. You can also ask us to add you to our mailing list if you would like to be a part of that as well!
Games and Activities
Bring your favorite games and activities to share with others! Whether it’s board games, card games, or outdoor sports, we want to create a space for fun and laughter. If you have a game or activity you’d like to lead, please contact us so we can coordinate.
Music Performances
Music is the language of the soul and no gathering is complete without music. We are hoping to have an opportunity for open-mic style performances, jam sessions, and a DJ or two to keep us vibing through the night. Contact us if this sounds like something you would like to do!
Pot Luck
Sharing is caring and we’re looking forward to bringing our community together with a pot luck style meal. Bring your favorite dish to share with others and enjoy the bounty of our community’s culinary talents. Please be mindful of any dietary restrictions and label your dish accordingly.
Demonstrations and Workshops
We know that you have skills and talents that you would like to share with others. Whether it’s a craft, a skill, or a hobby, we want to provide a space for you to demonstrate and teach others. If you would like to lead a demonstration or workshop, please contact us so we can coordinate. So far we’ve seen tarot reading, hair braiding, and a few other things that we are excited to see more of but something is missing… YOU!
Community Donation Station
We will have a donation station set up for those who would like to contribute to the event. Donations of all kinds are welcome whether it be clothes, books, toys, or anything else that you think would be useful to others in our community.
We recommend that any donations be clean and in good condition and (optionally) include a note with your name and/or why you are donating it. Why? Because we’ve often observed that people who receive donations like to know where they came from and why they were given. It helps to create a sense of community and connection.
